Packing Services in Chicago, IL
Full packing, partial packing, or just the items you don’t trust yourself to wrap – we work around what you need.
Packing is the part of moving most people underestimate. It takes longer than expected, the right materials matter more than people think, and one poorly wrapped item can be the thing you regret on the other end. If you’d rather hand that off entirely or just get help with the hard parts, that’s what this service is for.

Full Packing vs. Partial Packing: Which Makes Sense for You
Not every situation calls for the same approach. Here’s how to think about it:
Full packing
We pack your entire home from start to finish. Every room, every box, every item wrapped and labeled. You don’t touch a single roll of tape. Best for people who are short on time, moving long distances, or simply don’t want the hassle.
Partial packing
You’ve handled most of it yourself and just need help with specific areas – the kitchen, fragile items, artwork, or anything that makes you nervous to pack on your own. We come in and handle exactly what you point us to.
Unpacking
We unpack at your destination and place items where they belong. Boxes broken down, belongings organized, nothing left in a pile for you to deal with after a long move day.
What We Pack and How
Some items need more than a box and some newspapers. Here’s how we handle the things that require extra care:
- Fragile items Dishes, glassware, ceramics, and similar items are individually wrapped and packed with appropriate cushioning. Boxes are labeled fragile and positioned correctly in the truck.
- Artwork and mirrors Framed pieces and mirrors are wrapped and corner-protected. Larger pieces get custom padding where needed.
- Wardrobe and clothing Hanging clothes are moved in wardrobe boxes, no folding, no wrinkling, no repacking when you arrive.
- Kitchen and small appliances Kitchens are typically the most time-consuming room to pack. We work through them methodically so nothing gets buried or arrives broken.
- Electronics We pack electronics carefully but recommend you back up devices and remove personal data before your move date. Original boxes are ideal if you have them, we bring appropriate alternatives if not.

Good to Know Before You Book
A few things that help packing day go smoothly:
- Declutter first. We pack what’s there. If you want to donate or discard items before we arrive, do that beforehand. It saves time and keeps costs down.
- Label preferences. Let us know how you want boxes labeled – by room, by content, or both. We follow your system, or we’ll establish one if you don’t have one.
- Packing materials. We bring everything needed – boxes, tape, wrapping paper, bubble wrap, wardrobe boxes. You don’t need to source anything unless you want to.
- Combining with your move. Packing can be scheduled the day before your move or the same morning depending on volume. We’ll advise on timing when you book.
